A Bit More About FFUR

FFUR is run completely by volunteers; the four primary ladies are all friends with Krista and me. They fund the operation out of their own pockets, along with donations, and they foster the cats in their own homes. They care very much about all the cats they help, and want to see all of them adopted into loving homes.

The main FFUR headquarters are in Germantown, though foster homes are scattered throughout Philadelphia proper.

In addition to rescuing cats, nursing them back to health (and occasionally euthanizing cats in a humane manner when they're too ill or injured to get better), and finding them loving homes, FFUR also cares for several feral cat colonies. If possible, the feral cats are captured, fostered, and adopted. But when that isn't possible, FFUR provides the cats with outdoor shelter during the winter and food throughout the year.

FFUR is a registered nonprofit, so all donations are tax deductible.
