Why Blogging for FFUR
Krista originally suggested doing Blogathon 2006 for FFUR. I thought it was a great idea, because as much as we love FFUR, we can't do much beyond maintaining the website--paying off debt, you know.
At first, she was going to do it herself at her new domain name. But we weren't quite sure if it would be resolved in time to sign up and get donations, so we (I) decided to do a group blog.
This will allow a wider range of entry topics, and hopefully entice Krista's readership and my readership to donate to the cause.
We'll probably futz with the blog design a bit until the big day, but until then this is what we've got.

Hi. I'm doing a Blogathon for an animal welfare group, too. Over at my cats' LiveJournal, Paws and Effect (paws-and-effect.livejournal.com), we're going to blog for Noah's Wish, an organization dedicated to worldwide disaster relief efforts for animals.
Just wondering if you're interested in doing some cross-publicity for people who are blogging for animals.
